Thanks for the input, this is what I was asking for, not insults.

I doubt that army paramedics of the British Colonial Wards of the 19th Century would have carried out many field hysterectomies or kidney transplants. They'd have sawn off quite a few limbs, though - so, Torso Killer beware!

    Just an observation

"Position?" Anyways, knives are the wrong instrument. Scissors. Knives have a tendency to cut things you do not want cut . . . rather like what happened to Eddowes.

As for skills, he made the wrong incisions to access the abdomen.

Now, I assume you meant "kidney" rather than "liver" having been removed?

A possibility, no doubt. But why more than 30 years after the war?

    Hello Jukka,
there are a lot of colonial conflicts going on in the empire in the 19th century, so I asked which war war exactly was meant.
The First Boer War for example had been 1880/1881, the Second Anglo-Afghan war started in 1878 and was also concluded in 1881, the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879 and the Anglo-Egyptian war was in 1882.
The Crimean War just came to mind by the abysmal sanitary conditions and lack of logistics which resulted in field hospitals that seemed more wracked slaughterhouses than places of healing.
But yes, thirty years is really too much time, seems unlikely someone would only go cuckoo after so long a time.
I'd wager the guess that a field medic or a soldier helping in a field hospital could be able to commit the crimes, but that is just speculation on my part and by no means worth anything.

I owe you an apology for the mean bite, but I have been insulted by a bunch of morons on this site, and I thought you were going to go for the jugular also.

I guess it was just a defensive reaction. Sorry about that.

You said that you "did a short essay about it a few years ago." so maybe you could tell us if it could be possible that he could have learned his skills there.

    It was just a hunch.
You know just to add something other than a butcher or barber or whatever.

This is an unforgiving site to be on.

You were talking about his liver being damaged and him removing it from his victims as far as I understood you.
But he only took the kidney from one of his victims.
And I will neither go away nor refrain from correcting you when you are wrong or I disagree with your opinion. You have to accept that there may be a plurality of opinions regarding these cases and that your opinion is not the only viable.

What are your credentials for profiling?
What is it that you disagree with on my post?

What the heck are you talking about "The word you were looking for is kidney”?

If you do not like or you disagree with what I’m talking about, then just go to another site.

What is so hard about that? Why do you have to be so stupid?

If I did not know better, I would think that I was talking to bunch of juveniles.
