If you prescribe to the c5 and the nichols murder being his first , then a real close examination may yield " novice" mistakes as he may have spent excess time in area stalking.....previous contact with victim hrs before......I think he would have planned..,perhaps made a mistake,,.I dont think he grabbed a knife and decided to kill first prostitute he saw.....he lived or worked very close to bucks row imo.,..of course if he killed before the this then my opinion is for naught

Naturally, the Ripper didn't wake up one day and decide to randomly murder a bunch of prostitutes; his pathology is a deep-seated FEAR of women. And because he is afraid, he is very angry and despises them. Think of how terrified of women he must be to attempt to reduce them to literal pieces of meat, such as he did with Mary Jane Kelly. His attacks to the genitalia of the victim and his taking parts of the reproductive organs were no accident, and bears this out. I'm sure he lived right in the neighborhood of his crimes or very near to them. The fact that he headed back into the East End after the Mitre Square murder indicates he was either returning home or to some safe place for him. I have a hypothesis as to why he did this and why he then took a month off; however, it is too early to present it and further research must be done. I don't think he necessarily lived "very close to Bucks Row," as all of the murder locations are within one square mile or so. I have walked to all the murder sites, starting at Bucks Row and heading west, in an anticlockwise manner, and was amazed how relatively close they are: I was able to do it in less than hour, and according to my phone, walked just over 2 miles. None of the murder locations are "far" from each other. If geo-profiling has any merit, The Ripper may have lived in or near Thrawl, Flower & Dean, or Brick Lane, just to name a few possibilities. He knew the area intimately and made good use of the all the nooks and dark streets and blind alleys. If you ever have the opportunity to take a "Ripper Walk," by all means do so; you will see firsthand the small area where the Ripper "held his wont to walk..."
