How many women did the ripper kill?

After reading Tom Wescott's book, The Bank Holiday Murders, I am convinced that the Smith and Tabram murders are connected somehow

But other than that I believe the Whitechapel Murder had at least 5 murders to his name. Those being;

Nichols
Chapman
Stride
Eddowes
Kelly

As by coincidence, I have recently been reading up on mckenzie, wondering the same thing.
would be intrested to know what makes you feel certain.
I do still have doubts about Tab ram and possibly Stride though.
