  • Clara Heard

Howard Brown discovered a press report of a knife attack on a woman in Spitalfields in 1908. Her name was Clara Heard (ne้ Evans, I think) and the attack seems have taken place in Dorset (then Duval) Street. Significantly, her injuries were to the ‘lower part of her body’. If I’ve got the right marriage, Clara and her husband had once been guests of William Crossingham at 8, White’s Row.

Is anyone familiar with this incident?
