Hi Lynn,
The problem is that I am at work and the employer has strict rules - no looking at porn and no horse puns.

agreed
Hello CD.
"It has all been presented and we have reached different conclusions and that is ok."
Absolutely agreed. It is quite acceptable.
"I can't think of any horse puns at the moment."
Indeed? Then I shall nag you until you think of one.
Cheers.

Hi Lynn,
Actually I was referring to your request to Caz for evidence. It has all been presented and we have reached different conclusions and that is ok.
c.d.
P.S. I can't think of any horse puns at the moment.

horsing around
Hello CD.
"You can lead a horse to water . . ."
If by that you refer to Liz's putative soliciting, then, of course, I would say "Neigh." But perhaps that was not your mane point? Perhaps you were trying to spur me into saying something else? Or was I being taken for a ride?
Perhaps you were saddling me with a certain point of view?
Cheers.

Hello Caz.
"If the police on the ground found nothing to suggest that Liz and her killer had ever met before the night of her murder, and everything to suggest this was another opportunistic prostitute murder, . . ."
Everything? Really? You wouldn't have any evidence lying about?
Cheers.

You can lead a horse to water but...well, you know.

I'm afraid I agree with c.d.
If the police on the ground found nothing to suggest that Liz and her killer had ever met before the night of her murder, and everything to suggest this was another opportunistic prostitute murder, we are terribly unlikely to find any hard evidence against anyone from trying to piece together her movements from the previous week.
We already have a wealth of sightings and potential sightings of her in the hours leading up to her death, with or without a male companion, but still we can't pin any one individual down for further scrutiny (although Tom W is doing a good job tackling the 'French Colonel'). Kidney is right there for us in plain sight, even more so for the cops. So to my mind he is out for starters. Who else is there?
Love,
Caz

I'd say most likely a casual ward, or else she just spent that time out on the streets.....not an uncommon thing for women (or men) in her position to have to do.
Cheers,
Adam.

throw up the sponge?
Hello CD.
"[T]he police found no one who might have had reason to kill her."
Indeed.
They did not find JTR. Are we to throw up the sponge because SY did not succeed?
Cheers.

Hi Lynn,
Regardless of where Liz spent the night, the police found no one who might have had reason to kill her.

where's Liz?
Hello All. This thread is for discussing where Liz Stride was staying between Tuesday when she left Michael Kidney and Thursday when she returned to #32 Flower and Dean st.
Possibilities include (but are not limited to):
1. Dr. Barnardo’s
2. A new beau
3. A friend
4. A different lodging house
5. A casual ward
6. An employer—possibly on Fashion st
Cheers.
