  • Hello Lynn

I feel it only fair to point out though that the vote might go even further the other way if there was a facility to change one's mind in the light of further argument etc...which alas, (if only as a measure of how a good argument might sway hearts and minds), there isn't!

    Shame...it might be (genuinely) interesting...

    All the best

    Dave

    • Hi Dave

      I propose a vote

"Did the Fenians murder Kate Eddowes?"

Be a bit one sided Begorrah. Wonder what the beginners would make of that!

      • Hi Observer

We don't seem to agree that often, but your post #2071 regarding Liz Stride really did ring some bells at least

With regard to Eddowes and the Fenians I wouldn't care to even hazard a guess....I can't even see a point of contact...but it is possible

        All the best

        • Hi Dave

Regarding Eddowes and the Fenians, I can't see any evidence whatsoever! It's a non starter.

Well it was your suggestion, was it not?

              Good point, Dave.
I voted "no" when the thread was started, and it`s a "yes" today.

                Hello Dave. Thanks.

Polls cannot change the past. They are indicators of what a few people think. That's all.

                Cheers.

Hello (again) Dave. Kate? On a Liz thread? And an Irish American group from the 1860's?

                  Good luck with that one!

                  Cheers.

Could be a result of the musings here. After all, two people died on the same night. Easy.

Or it could be that it provides a bump up for the thread and so all the beginners are now drawn in.

                    Cheers.

                    Hi, Lynn,
And perhaps the increase for is by people who have been considering the aspects for awhile, been on the fence, or back and forth, who have actually taken the time to look at things more closely.

Just saying. The more I look, the more I see one killer (and no, I don't know who he is -- don't even have a good guess).

                      Hi, Jon,
If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to hear the strongest points that changed your mind.

                      thanks,

I would imagine there'd be many less 'No's' than there are now.

                            Hello Velma. Thanks.

Hard to imagine the chaps on these boards holding ANYTHING back.

Aspects? Perhaps--they died the same night.

                            Cheers.

                              • I haven't a clue how I voted, or when.

I do know that after many years conviction of 'No', I am now securely on the fence.
Why was there never a 'Maybe' option for fence-sitters?
                                Regards, Jon S.
