I think Marys throat was cut with her back turned, it sprayed the wall, and she flopped back onto her back trying to fend off further slashes to her face. I don't see choking as being needed here Trevor. Buts that's for another thread....

Kellys nose lost a piece in a swing of the knife, Kates was cut with a blade pressed or sliced across, more than just the tip by the stitches shown in the image from the mortuary.. Marys whole face suffered trauma, Kate whole face did not. No marks of her forehead, and by your own theory, the chevrons related to the nose cut. The nose was cut specifically Sam, there is no legitimate argument against that.

When Kates nose is specifically cut...which, as I believe you have concluded, also left some chevron looking marks on her cheeks, Im not sure that the killer sought to remove it completely. It would have been easy considering its final state. Maybe just a deep cut as a symbol. That he mucked up. Like the 2 ft section of colon. Or that bit of ear.

My point being is that the nose specifically was mutilated in Kates case, it could easily have been in Marys case...we'll never know, we didn't see those features in images,..but there is no mention of a specific cut on Marys nose.

Theres historical precedent in that area during the LVP for nose cutting as symbol of someone who got their "nose" into someone elses business. IF she had the information she claimed, and the intention to sell it, that would mean selling out that person, someone she claims she knows. Not just has heard of. So, a snitch. Actually quite a good vehicle for fear mongering by the killer(s), they both eliminate someone who could cause ongoing projects or schemes to be disrupted and send a message to the rest of the street community that understood the meaning of it. I believe the Post Office Robbery netted some good money, theres also all sorts of wheeling and dealing in the dark rooms with the Parnell circus in town...all sorts of snitches looking to cash in, a double agent for Irish self rule and HMG cashing in for 5,000 L to tell all. And of course, a nutball who is killing women in the streets, and in prior cases, cutting into them. Jewish socialist Anarchists, Irish self rule factions, regional hoods and thieves, there are a number of communities and or agencies that could have produced this guy. Or he could have been a seemingly benign oddball.

But for me, the crimes that most resemble what I interpret as a Jack the Ripper style killing, perhaps 3, very much smack of intimidation and terrorism.

But it was a false address, and she also gave a false name.

There is no reason, and precious little time, to suspect that she went there after her release. If she went to Fashion Street, got some food, tarried there a little while perhaps looking for shelter, then headed back to the vicinity of Mitre Square, that leaves practically no time whatsoever for Jack to spot her, make his move, and walk with her to the site of her murder.
