Hello all. I discussed this question with a few people earlier, but this hit me why I was writing my Substack piece on Annie Chapman. I know that she had issues carrying some pregnancies to term. I know complications from syphilis and the alcohol have been cited as possible factors. But has anyone thought that a gynelogical issue or invisible illness may have also played a role? I'm thinking endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, or maybe even chronic PID. Endometriosis particularly stood out to me as there's a history of it in my family. In one instance, one of the people close to me found out this year that they had endometrial scarring up into their thoracic area during the course of surgery. Endometriosis is known to get into the brain in very rare cases and can cause the softening of brain tissue that has been mentioned during Annie's inquest. I'll have to put a pin in this, look into it more, and come back with what I found. But I'm throwing this out there to see if anyone has suggested this before. I don't know why, but I think this might be a more likely explanation.
