You're more like the colonialist helping the British fight the Battle of Britain against one Braveheart and one Barbarian.

And I just turn up now and again to see if the white flag is ever finally raised.

Specifically, I more & more think of it as Hell in the Pacific--just me (Lee Marvin) and Toshirō Mifune (Ike), but I don't mind assuming the Japanese role.

    I like the Japanese.

Do you ever write in plain English? He mentioned his family etc therefore giving away his supposed identity therefore there is no need to disguise his hand. That it’s not in Maybrick’s hand because we are dealing with a bunch of amateurs who couldn’t accurately forge handwriting.

Is there anything about this diary that you can’t twist to try and make it seem real? Barrett tried to buy a Victorian diary - there is no defence for this. A jury would find absolute guilt in this. That a well to do businessman can’t find or buy a diary or some kind of notebook or letter book but instead resorts to tearing pages out of a book used for photographs is additional proof. Put this in a court of law and the Judge wouldn’t have time to take off his wig and take a sip from his cup of tea before he’d be told that the jury were coming back. Unanimously guilty. Diary a forgery. Game over.
