I am genuinely bemused beyond all definitions of bemusement that you took offence in my avuncular use of “you idiot” and I 100% realise now that you are not my type of poster, so I will say a genuine “Sorry” that you misunderstood my intention.

You are neither genuinely bemused that I took offence at being called an idiot nor genuinely sorry for having called me an idiot.

I don’t think many of my dear readers would have read that “you idiot” as anything other than a sort of patrician goodnaturedness - a kind of parental frustration at youth unable to separate feedback from insult.

Maybe for the benefit of PI they should familiarise themselves with the absolute true believers of the diary being written by James Maybrick. I know only of one person. Ike has taken more shots than a Geordie stag party on a month away in Amsterdam. He has stuck to his guns in the face of attacks on his judgement, character and mental state, year after year.

PI wants a bravery biscuit for the boo-boos. I am less sensitive to their feelings than others, and you gave them fair warning. I did too. Except they took it as a fatwa when I said it. Sensitive soul.
