If we knocked politely on a few more doors rather than attempting to kick them down, we might find a great deal more common ground on the other side.
Thanks Garry. But you are testimony to the fact that we do question the sacred cows, and also slaughter them if necessary, and always have done. In many respects we only advance historical understanding by looking at existing evidence in different ways. What Trevor doesn't understand is that he is advocating nothing new, that his questions have all been asked (and in many cases answered).

I believe the Greek Chorus was necessary to explain the action to an audience, Simon. In this case what you mistake as heckling, is sadly a necessary explanation to an actor who hasn't grasped the plot.

I haven't read of anyone suggesting it, hence the question. I'm guessing you haven't either.

    Regards, Bridewell.

    Typically snide comment by me?

$hit, I've been hanging around you to much. I need a Marriott de-tox.

Sure you can afford to pass on your own underwear to me? I mean, what will you wear yourself?

Keep dancing Trev...keep oiled up and strutting. At least you have something to fall back on should the next book deal falls through.

So if they were stolen could it have been a police officer then?

Has Don Rumbellow given any indication that when he had access to them he found any evidence to suggest files had been lost stolen or destroyed.?"

Don Rumbellow and another had full access to the city files many years ago that is a fact.

Where did you get that info from Trevor? That they have and still are transferring files from the CoLP? And what files are they?

That came from the archives direct when i was filming down there last year and you know full well that it is correct so dont try to play the smart arse with me

And before you answer, please bare in mind that I have been in close contact with the CoLP stand in curator and Record Officer for the past few years.

If you and some of the others put as much effort into trying to unravel this mystery as you do trying to bring me down this case would be solved by now.

Now I am off for my short holiday so sadlyI wont be able to continue with this challenging encounter. So i hope in my absence you and the others will have the case solved by the time I return, no what am i saying more chance of hell freezing over.

Catch a criminal between you, you couldnt catch a cold !"

Ok, firstly are you accusing Don of theft? I assume not. At least I hope not.

Thats a typical snide comment I would expect from you

Secondly, yeah I'm aware of the transfer of 'files'. However I know that they are nothing to do with the case, the majority being post war. Certainly not in relation to the Eddowes investigation.

I believe its Gay Pride week in France Trevor, so enjoy.

I dont know about being gay I will be very happy where I am going would you like me to bring you some sexy ladies underwear back

Well, that should be a relief for your acolytes -- you will not account for a change of theory because your book was ghosted. But that only makes Bridewell's question about why you changed your opinion on the loss of files from your book to now. What did make you decide that the destruction of files in the war is a canard used to cover up "embarrassing information"?

As it is, you are clearly not a historian else you would know first-hand -- and frequently -- about the innocent destruction or loss of files, both banal and bombshell, by government agencies, businesses and private citizens.

It happens. Accept it and stop playing games in an effort at self-promotion.

    Don.
I have never professed to being an historian because Historians look at this case in a totally different light. I dont play games my time is to precious for that.

I am not disputing files were lost or destroyed what i am disputing is that when something is challenged as has been the case regarding suspects. The stock answer is always well there might have been something but it might have been lost stolen or destroyed. To much of a coincidence to suggest that every document every report has been lost stolen or destroyed, Especially when officer in later years stated the police did not have a clue as to the identity of the killer, yet peolle still want to keep these names alive and promote them as prime suspects.

You have to ask the question was there anything in the first place on some of these suspects for it to be lost stolen or destroyed.

I dont self promote I have an agent for that purpose
