Those with loud voices are the ones most often heard Steve.

Until they are silenced of course.

    Hello Steven.

"I am utterly mystified as to why George Hutchinson is considered such a strong suspect by so many."

    So many?

At the risk of initiating a ripperological sh!tstorm, I have to say that I am utterly mystified as to why George Hutchinson is considered such a strong suspect by so many. Perhaps I am being dense. Someone please explain.

    Best wishes,
    Steve.

there is no accurate suspect description of the guy seen outside, or even Blotchy Face seen going in, it's even worst than Broad Sholders, Lawende's Sailor boy etc etc, they're so bad that they're not worth a second look!

1..... there is therefore no need for JTR to go to the police
2..... there is therefore no need for GH to go to the police
3..... no need for a dastardly duo to do the same
4..... the police couldn't catch a cold, let alone JTR.....FACT

    WE HAVE

1....GH went to the police because he did indeed see the LA DE DA Jew
2....GH is JTR and went to the police to further his anti-semetic hatred/insert himself into the case.

    REALLY WEAK

1...GH totally lied and went after the reward/ publicity, this is the weakest of the lot, because it looks like due to his statement that he was there

GH went to the police 2 days too late, right after going to the inquest, this is mega suspicious, but to be sent there by an accomplice is the most stupid thing the killer could ever do, because he risks GH breaking down under interogation, no way and as said there's no need to do this.

    Hi Morgana
Its never been proven that he lied, but alot of people think he did. As chris said there could be several explanations:

    1. He lied because he was the killer, knew he had been seen by sara Lewis and came forward with A-man to explain his reason for being there and to deflect suspician from himself.
    2. He lied in an attempt to cash in with the press and police and/or was a just seeking attention.
    3. He lied (as ChirsGeorge just said) because he was a lookout for the killer and wanted to deflect suspician from his accomplice.

    Hello Morgana

It has often been discussed that possibly on the night of the murder, George Hutchinson was working as a pimp, a look-out for a gang of thieves, or in some other criminal capacity. He knew that he had been recognized by one or more people hanging about in Dorset Street on the critical night, so he went to the police with the story about Kelly with Astrakhan man. Another possibility is that he might have been a look-out or confederate of the real killer and described a suspect as much different from the way the actual killer looked as possible. In any case, despite their initial interest in his story, the police, for whatever reason, seem to have lost interest in the tale as well as in Hutchinson himself as a suspect.

    Best regards

    Chris
