The difference, if that is what you are looking for, is that Mrs Long saw Chapman's face and recognised her as the woman in the mortuary..

"I saw the woman's face. Have seen the deceased in the mortuary, and I am sure the woman that I saw in Hanbury-street was the deceased."

Lawende could not offer the same assurance, he only "thought" the clothes he was shown looked like those which the woman was wearing. And as many of these women dressed in very similar dark attire, Lawende's is not a reliable sighting.

It is purely personal preference which keeps Lawende's sighting in the forefront.

YUP, but also not to kill anywhere else in the world as well, this killer either died, downgraded and thus switched his M.O, or he finished what he set out to do.

it looks like he achieved his goal and then stopped and downgraded, as well as leaving, because history cant lie about this and as such, this must be a huge clue.

he seems quite unpopular, but it doesn't half make G.Chapman look as guilty as hell, because he fits exactly what we cant dismiss lightly and what we cant ignore !

1..... he visits here..... loads of murders
2..... he is seen too well...... stops, downgrades and leaves
3......he waits some time, returns to this area and starts killing again, this time with a different M.O

he is everything that GH isn't, ....i.e what GH should have done after MJK, is everything that G.Chapman did.

but it's hard to match G.C to these crimes, especially Chapman's simply because this bloke seen is over 40 !..... so it's all a wee bit hit, miss and maybe!

in fact GC doesn't fit any of these murders, except the last, that is if GH is telling the truth..... SORRY HE AINT, so he fits none of the murders, but neither does Tumblety, D'Onston, Druitt and definitely not KOSMINSKI , so i guess he's no worst than any of the rest

But "over 40" is not a certainty, read Long's words (again).

How do you determine a mans age from behind?
Did she assume his age due to his mode of dress?

Remember what Sarah Lewis said?

Chapman was about 5ft tall, and Mrs Long said the man was "a little taller", so anywhere between 5' 2" & 5' 6" might be reasonable and still considered short.

A mans age can be anywhere between 35 & 45 and still be consistent with much of the evidence given by several witnesses.
Determining accurate height & age is a precarious undertaking at the best of times.

Having left my flat cap and clogs at' mill..

The product 'Jack' fell off the wagon as soon as all the top policemen started revealing they didnt and couldnt show agreement. And the Luddite Ripper community make up all sorts of explanations for that. Whilst asking us to first believe the honesty of one then another, according to what single piece of writing they pick out.

The Flat Earth society are known to be blinkered. Some see a Stonefish. Others stick to a traditonal goldfish. By the by- it is highly unusual for even the plainest of fish not to smell.
Blinkers in Ripperology are amazing- they cover the eyes and the nose- whilst some put fingers in their ears singing ' I dont want to hear you'.
Its not to their taste either. Perhaps they have the wrong grip? 5 senses down still screaming we koow better. The Earth CANNOT be round. 'We know'.

For example the framesmashers were NOT against modern technology but the unfair employment laws of the time.
