    Hi All,

I've heard of doctors poisoning people. But out of interest, does anyone know of any butchers - or surgeons for that matter - who mutilated a human being?

(And I'm not talking about Joan Rivers's cosmetic surgeon. )

All the butchers I have ever come across have been extremely saucy, but not in a Saucy Jacky way.

    Love,

    Caz

I keep coming back to Francis Thompson, who spent time in medical training but ultimately failed to qualify and was known to be associating with the Eastend prostitutes at the time. Given his strongly religious if disturbed background and rejection by his prostitute lover he seems to tick all the boxes.

If were offering guesses by Category rather than name, my bet is someone with a rudimentary but formal Anatomy Education. Someone with the basic knowledge... at that amateur level, but lacking the artful manner of a highly trained man.

Could be as some kind of apprentice or med student freshman.

I think only Pigs would offer the killer human-like configurations in terms of organs, and they wouldnt present the problems these women could. Which means... I believe that kind of formal education may have also helped him discover a way to knock them out quickly.

    All the best.

Jack the Ripper was a meat butcher. I've ruled out Sickert, Fagenbaum, Chapman and Maybrick.

    Nobody

I am like the many others who have also chosen other. I have been a firm believer that James Kelly was J the R. But there have been so many convincing arguements for others eg: Cutbush with Uncle's help, Hutchinson
and even the Lodger whoever he was.

I don't know anymore, however I firmly believe that the authorities at the time knew for sure who he was. Therefore there is a famikly member somewhere who either has yet to discover the info, or they know but for obvious reasons would not wish to disclose the truth about his or her family.
I refuse to believe that his identity was not then known.

Call me stubborn but that is my GUT feeling after reading so many fine books and magazines on the infamous JtR.

Im like Jukka...I dont think we have seen his name yet....but I wouldnt be surprised at all to find Fenian anarchy and Jack the Ripper intertwined to some degree.

    Best regards all.

I don't believe JTR is actually listed as a suspect in this poll or on The Casebook
    Suspects List.
If I had it on good authority that he is,I would bet everything on Dr.John Williams.

    Hi Roy

He has been my choice from the beginning, many many years.
And though I agree that his presence in London cannot be proved, but on the other hand it cannot be disproved!

Joe Fleming is intersting... as for Hutch...well

i think Hutch more likely than Fleming and no they're not both the same person, because those Hutch signatures match.

i'm still highly suspicious of G Chapman too, so who do i vote for? or do i go for Blotchy face, who could be Fleming

oh you've got to laugh, right; i'm voting for G.Chapman and i dont give a damn what anyone thinks
