Hi all
Well firstly, I never thought I would ever start a thread on Druitt, but hey ho.
So, here's a list (incomplete) of some of the various barristers, solicitors and other legal professionals who were linked to 9 King's Bench Walk from 1885 (the year that Druitt made the bar) and up to circa 1890
The majority were still involved after Druitt's death.
Some interesting names; especially the last one.

Clement LeBreton's sister was Emilie Charlotte LeBreton
Also known as Lillie Langtry.
Lillie Langtry was a socialite who became a famous actress.
But she was also argued to be the lover of "Bertie" the Prince of Wales (and the future King Edward VII)
But what's particularly interesting about Lillie, was that she was decidedly promiscuous.
She had married an Irish man named Edward Langtry, and whilst being married to him, she had taken several different lovers over a course of years.
One of which she conceived a child with, and to avoid being caught by her husband, she went off briefly to France to give birth in secret.
She named her daughter Jeanne Marie
Edward Langtry himself was an interesting character...because he appears to have stood by her through it all, until eventually they finally divorced; but not until her 3rd attempt to break free from the marriage. It had been Edward himself who had tried to stop the divorce.
Edward was also orphaned at the age of 8, along with his 3 sisters.
But despite being orphaned so young, Edward was wealthy and spent a lot of time on the water; his grandfather involved heavily with the commercial boats from Belfast to England.
Edward also liked to spend his money, but surprisingly he was known to be extremely shy, and socially awkward.
Lillie herself appears to have ridiculed Edward for his awkward manner when she later wrote her autobiography.
It seems Edward eventually went to rag and ruin after the divorce, and with considerable mental decline, he eventually ended up in Cheshire asylum, although he was found senseless and incoherent at a train station after appeared to have fallen and hit his head. It was subsequently discovered that he had apparently fallen in transit from Belfast. Edward later died from swelling in his brain after his apparent fall. Whether he actually fell of course is up for scrutiny.
There's an interesting photo that exists that's linked to his cemetery records. It's a photo of him and Lillie whilst they were still married.
If one were to suggest that he looked like a good candidate for Jack the Ripper, then that would IMO be a fair hypothesis. Those beady eyes.
And then of course we have Lilley herself.
She was an actress involved with the theatre
Had an illigimate daughter named Jeanne Marie
Went to France briefly to give birth
Had a close connection to France.
Was a socialite involved with the London scene.
And her first husband was a quiet, shy and socially awkward man who looked like he came directly from a JTR e-fit.
It does make me wonder whether Mary Jane Kelly herself was a fantasist who based her life story partly on Lillie Langtry.
And of course, the name Jeanne Marie sounds awfully familiar.
From Edward's perspective, his wife had countless lovers, had an illegitimate daughter with another man that he found out about, and who had mocked him for his social awkwardness and shyness.
And yet despite having got divorced, it was claimed that Edward Langtry found the break up rather difficult, because rather than just let it go, he allegedly stalked her by secretly following her, and then asking train station guards what she was wearing and where she was going.
I believe Edward Langtry warrants a closer look as a potential candidate for the Ripper.
But I digress...
So to summarise...
Lillie Langtry's brother Clement Martin LeBreton was registered at 9 Kings Bench Walk at around the same time that Druitt would have been there.
That implies that they may well have been acquainted
Clement's sister Lillie had several lovers, including the Prince of Wales.
Her overtly shy and socially awkward husband Edward Langtry knew all about it, and yet could do nothing to change his wife's promiscuous behaviour.
So what does all this mean?
Well, probably very little.
But you never know.
