    Hi Simon,

Is that possibly some of the bedding that was stuffed down there between the wall and bed? Maybe it was adjusted to perch a camera there? Operate it by squeeze bulb?

Directly next to the thumb/pinkie finger.

Just beside the “hand” (situated on the far left) is the face of a woman.

look closely, the face is directly next to the hand, dark hair, dark eyes and menacing.

it looks like it been painted in.

or the killer smeared a small face in blood.

I've looked at it again and I believe it is the right leg. Is the pile on the table in the backround right hand side a pillow or the pile of flesh? It's tricky to figure out what's what.

I don't think that is supposed to be the leg. It's hard to figure out this photograph for sure. Everyone seems to see different things when looking at it.

Why was that done I wonder? Victorian 'photoshopping' to make the image clearer?

Was it ever established what this is supposed to be?

It was not my intention to confuse. If both these photographs were taken on the afternoon of Friday 9th November [MJK was removed from the room at around 4.00 pm], take a close look at MJK3 before inspecting MJK1 [or MJK2]. You will notice there are many things in the photograph which should be visible in the other, but are not.

I have quite a lot of animations and 3D stuff on Mary's positioning and the room layout but most of it is not online any more. I'll have a look to see if I can find it and see if there's anything worth posting.
That's an awesome blog you have there, it's good to see the streets how they would have looked.

Hello yes the comment did confuse me at first, I took it literally and thought I had accidentally posted something from an entirely different crime scene lol. I've read every ripper book I can get my hands on though, Sugden's is my favourite and what started my interest off some years back now, so I am familiar with the theories that MJK may have possibly not been the dead woman. Whoever it is laying there, anyway, it's harrowing and heart breaking. What a sad end to any life.

I look forward to more discussions on these threads with you all

The picture has came down to us as a crime scene photo of MJK.
But there are theories that it isn't her. I don't have any theory myself.

Simon's post is confusing to people new to the case, as yourself maybe?
Personally, if I had a theory like Simon that the picture wasn't MJK, then I'd reply to your 1st post with something like the picture has came down to us as MJK but I don't believe it is personally.

But he didn't do that, he just put he's theory and I take it he's reply is the reason you sounded confused in your second post. I do like Simon, a lot, but he's reply is just confusing to people new to the forum.
An opinion stated as fact is how myth and misinformation is perpetuated.
