Great shots Paddy, Those wooden things are similar to the ones on the other photo thread. We have quite a lot from the old warehouses along the River Hull.

PG - no one ever seems to comment on your images so I will. Great stuff!

Terribly atmospheric picture, that... stunning grace despite the decay. Sort of reminds me of The Roebuck on the corner of Durward Street {have I got the name right?}the only time I ever saw it.Originally posted by Rob Clack View PostThis is a drawing Jake found from 'The Ilustrated Police News' 3 December 1892

Rest assured it is probably most, if not all members of the board, who love seeing these old buildings untouched next to more modern structures, and despite the advancements in design and construction, still kicking ass!Originally posted by Govenor Leeus View PostThis may just be me, but isn't it good to see some of the buildings remaining virtually untouched for nearly 100 years?

Victorian buildings to the left of the Lloyds TSB (often seen in old photos) are under threat. Currently (and recently) covered in scaffolding and hoardings - I'm worried they're coming down. I do hope not.

Those two pics are yet again amazing, I would love to get a group together to position people in the same spot as the origional shot, that would be great.
Anyway, I love the first shot, really sends home the message that we are slowly losing our heritage.
Thankfully, these pictures go someway to preserving it.
