Great find Archaic but what a load of codswallop.
Typical jazzed up rubbish..the ghost of Liz Stride haunts the Ten bells ?

You're very welcome, John; glad you enjoyed it. I was actually surprised that it was so good, there are so many hokey videos on YouTube these days.

Thought it was pretty cool to get such a good view of Don's knife, too.

    Regards, Archaic

That's a top find, Archaic, many thanks for posting the link. A nice bit of old(ish) Ripper media.

Even though the creepy dank cellars of the Ten Bells are now the toilets, they haven't changed a bit!

Video: Haunted Ten Bells, "Ghost of Whitechapel"

    Hi, guys

I found this video you might like; it has a segment about the hauntings at the Ten Bells in the beginning, then Don Rumbelow shows off his 'Ripper' knife in Buck's Row & Paul Begg discusses Liz Stride's murder. It's older (early 90's) but quite enjoyable.

    Regards, Archaic

PS: On Youtube under 'Ghost of Whitechapel'

    Just couldn't resist this game, sorry;

Does anyone find any resemblence to the vics and the girls in the photo?!

Well - as Alan Moore says in the "From Hell" novel - "The ***** dance - the same ***** dance thats been going on for thousands of years".....or words to that effect - namely women are women and men are men - not much changes as we move through time towards divinity with technology - the same base human desires and blood lusts persist - no matter how far forward we go - we are all still human - and women will always be targets for sex murders.......as sad as that is.

Great shot - it made me realise Ive never been in there at night - probably a whole different experience........

the only "trouble" I ever had in there was actually the first time I went (I was with my brother) and this black guy came up to me at the bar and asked if he could have 50p....I only had a tenner and I said "Ive only got a tenner" and he waited for me to get my drinks and then asked again seeing I had change - I just gave it to him and sat down - cheeky!!!

    Yep I agree there John

No shots of the lavs in the 10 Bells!! (Probably for the best- else we'd have Accora sniffing around (AAAAAGH)

The Welly is great, if a tad locally 'scary' but sort of 'real 'eh' as opposed to 'real ale' - a dying thing sadly!

    Anyone for a Campari??............aaaaaaaaaaagh!!!!

Can you imagine the scene....''Ooo yew calling Camp moi old son?.!!!!*******?*&^&%$"!£$%^&*!!' Keraaaaaaaash! Tinkle!!!!

    That's just from the barman!!!!

Yes, not very long ago you would get cockney folk in there. Try the Market Trader pub down the road, or the one with the great big neon sign saying 'pub', the name of which escapes me, on the other side of the square. Both are local's pubs

Not very great? It's a lovely photo - it looks like a professional promotion shot for a brochure! It makes the Ten Bells look almost cosy and comfortable.
