Is it true that during 1886 all the Canonical 5 lived at either 16 or 18 Thrawl Street (except Liz Stride perhaps)?

    Similar article.

Experts believe the Victorian serial killer Jack the Ripper lived in Flower and Dean Street in London’s notorious East End

yup and the last ripper victim, alice McKenzie, was killed a stones throw from the Victoria home.

    Yes, I thought that.

Colin Roberts (the Colin that Michael referred to earlier) had the hot spot on Wentworth Street, near the northern end of George Yard, based on where the women were murdered.

edit. rather than a hot spot, this was the centre of his geographical profile.

Once Lewis Carroll was named as Jack any man, woman or chimpanzee (Including Bonobos) alive in 1888 is a suspect.

I've never really had a suspect...but Flower and Dean is definitely my Ripper Street.

I have been a member here for a couple of years and only posted in-frequently due to time constraints, so still relatively new around here so do please forgive me if I'm miles out here.
Having followed this link here and looked at the map attached, it would appear clear that not only is Flower & Dean street clearly central to all of the scenes but so is the Ten Bells Pub!!
I have searched the forums and have not been able to find any references to the landlord John Waldren. Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely someone based so centrally, running a pub frequented by a number of the victims, could be worthy of investigation in terms of suspects?

If the JTR lived on Flower and Dean St, then it appears his name is lost through the cracks of history.

Flower and Dean Street & Fashion Street were the two hot areas on the resulting 'heat map' when the American's did the geographic profiling thingy.

Question is, which particular persons of interest lived on those Streets?

Might be worth a good delve...

Just had a read of this article and it states thet F&D was destroyed in the Blitz? Surely it was there mostly intact until the 1970's?

    Just a comment

Very interesting indeed, I was employing the idea myself our Jack was definitely around this area where Flower and Dean street were myself. Fascinating stuff! And thanks for the extra information here too.

    social scientific theories

Hello J. I read that, too, in "The Telegraph."

It was written by some people with more background in social scientific theories than in actual investigation.

    Cheers.
