ports in/around london

Being in Kansas I have some trouble with getting a period appropriate understanding of the geography. Would someone closer to London have pity on me and give a list of all ports of departure that would have been operational in 1888? I should think a 40 mile circumfrence appropriate that would be roughly 70 km. I would greatly appreciate this. Thank You and live strong Dave
