    • Some oldies but mouldies, all taken a skinny long-haired youth (OK, me) with the worst camera imaginable, but I'm glad I did.

Speaks for itself, really. October 1986.

        John they were from Tesco's.

        Hi Monty,

The first two arches from Christian Street don't seem to be numbered, which doesn't mean to say they are not, I just didn't see any numbers poking out. Arches 3 to 12 are numbered 3 to 12. Then the arch which should be number 13 is in fact number 15. The torso arch doesn't have a number, presumably as I've mentioned before there's no entrance to it on the Pinchin Street side.

That's how they are now, no idea about then.

For a minute I wasn't sure if you were talking about the ladies or my old camera. Come to think of it, I think it did comefrom Tesco.

                • Super pics of Burdett Road, Rob.

And just down the road from the hellish, nightmarish Spitalfields.

                  How orderly it looks.

                  • Thanks Mike, Stephen,

You will be pleased to know it looks like the rest of the East End now. I went along Burdett Road for the first time on Saturday (by bus) and it is a mixture of old and new.

                              • Superlative shots, Rob. The board school was just in a class of its own for atmosphere back then.

                                Those were the days, eh.
