Anyone reading the revolving discussions over on the "What Anderson Knew" thread would realise that Sir Robert Anderson discussed various Ripper suspects with several colleagues.
Most likely, he discussed Kozminski with Swanson;
All three of Macnaghten's " more likely" suspects with Macnaghten;
Chapman with Abberline (?); and Cutbush with all of them (?).
Does anyone have any light to throw on the possibility of Sir Robert Anderson having held any discussions with G. R. Sims? Or do they think police links with Sims were exclusively through Sir Melville Macnaghten?
My reason for asking this is because I believe Sims' later press articles show he has acquired further information about several of Macnaghten's "more likely" suspects. And that this is a medium we can exploit to glean further information about each of them.Provided we bear in mind the caveat that Sims' informant might have provided Sims with unintentionally inaccurate information.
(For instance, that Druitt was a doctor).
It is only in Sims' much later article that we discover he has learned the suburb where the suspect Druitt resided ( ' six miles from Whitechapel').
All of G R Sims' Ripper-related articles are reproduced on this site in the Press Reports link which may be accessed by clicking on "Press Reports" on the far left hand side of this page. JOHN RUFFELS.
