    Very interesting information about working conditions and pay at the Police Federation website. No wonder it was easy to bribe a policeman in the old days.

    I have this photo hanging up in my home. The guy who sold it to me specialises in archive photos of the police.
    I thought I was buying a photo from ebay, it turned up on a disc.
    Looks like he copied it from online...Bit naughty, still I only got it to put on here.....

    Good call, Joshua, I thought both of those items looked like cloth, so capes would make sense.

    I would say they are Met. But I'm basing this purely on the shape of the helmets.
    Yes I agree. I will blow an image up in a minute of the hat

    I meant to post last night but I actually got totally side tracked looking at all the images and then ventured off to looking at mug-shots from Australia and America (as you do)
