        • A request

          Guys,

I know Im being a cheeky bugger here but does anyone have a empty parking space and are willing to loan it to me for the conference weekend.?

Im planning on driving down and was thinking of tubing it into Whitechapel.

If anyone can help please mail or PM me.

          Cheers

          • Monty,
In the area I live in you have to pay residents parking on weekdays and cant "loan your space".Non residents have to pay in different bays. However its free after 1.30 on Saturdays in Notting Hill for everybody and all day Sunday until 8.30 am Monday.I know its very similar in Hanbury Street,Whitechapel because I have parked there myself,in fact I think its free all day Saturday and all day Sunday in Hanbury Street and other parts of Whitechapel, starting on the Friday night at 6.30.You might therefore be better off parking in Whitechapel after 6.30 Friday until 8.30 am Monday!

Beware the East End on a Sunday. Serious parking restrictions because of markets (until 1pm I think). I tried it once and the nearest I could get was Durward Street, funnily enough.

There are probably plenty of places in the area to park (without restrictions at weekends), but they may have to be a little walk away from the venue. As long as it's a way away from the markets (Petticoat Lane & Brick Lane) there should be something.

                  • Norma & John,

                    Many thanks for the tips.

Never driven in London before and, honestly speaking, Im not looking forward to it. Im down early October for the day and parking at a mates house in Stanmore. Its unfortunate that he his moving to Brighton just before the Conference.

Never mind...and again, thanks for the advice.

                    • Mont, are you looking for a free space?

If you're ok paying, the White's Row car park will charge in the region of £35 for the full weekend.

                      Cheers

The White's Row car park is the only choice. Why, it's already got your name on it!

You'll have to move that yellow Skoda out of the way first, though...
