He can get that from anyone...probably has.

Anyway I am glad it might be in London. Ups the likelihood that I might go as I was considering tagging it onto the tail end of a trip to Ireland. Really easy to zip in and out of London, as others have already pointed out.

    Hi Sam,

They all look like they've got sore misgivings.

    Carry on at your convenience/connivance/conference.

    Love,

Exactly Sam!!! Hmmmmmmmmmm There MUST be a way....even if it means using three or four hotels (5* for Dids of course!) or whatever and having a central meeting place like The Aldgate Exchange for example. Just a thought- may be a lot of fun!!!
    Yep hopefully Mike it does

... indeed, Glenn and - let's face it - London's the most easily reachable city from within the UK, too!

Not to mention all the free advertising the venue will get!

Does this mean I might get to meet DIDS?

    Hi all,

It's good news indeed that the possibility exists for another venue in spite of the recent economic situation. A scale downed conference is better than nothing and I am sure of that Adam and Claudia are doing their best.

London would be excellent - for once those of us who comes from abroad would get a lucky break with less additional travel time. I certainly hope it will be in London (which could also be combined to a nice group trip to East End and the murder sites) but of course anywhere will do as long as a conference of some sort will become reality. However, it would certainly be nice to have the venue where things actually happened.

    All the best

London would be fine with me. Maybe a small hotel near the scene of the action. Does the Thistle chain still run that modest establishment by Tower Bridge? That would be good.

London beats the heck out of trying to take a train to somewhere in the provinces...or, worse still, trying to drive to it. I've tried driving in England and, I swear, no one there has ever heard of the "keep right" rule. It was like they all thought they were in Australia.
