Look at that spike coming back up in 1891. That was due to Cutbush and Collicut. Right?

Interesting that there was a peak in "attempted" as well as actual murders in 1888, ditto 1891-93. Are there separate stats on "manslaughter", Colin? They'd be a useful comparator.

Hi Colin
Would it be too much of an ask to compile a graph showing which murders were actually solved?

G'Day all
Just a thought but some reports have victims strangled before their throats were cut, so I wonder where they fall in these Stats, not trying to start a fight just wondering.

Inclined to agree that they don't exist but would be interesting nevertheless.

I don't think that there will be any records of those, do you?Originally posted by GUT View PostG'Day Colin and MrB
Would love to see those.

Evisceration occurred after death, not before, so would not be recorded as the cause.
Would be interesting though. I doubt that there are many cases before or since.

Would love to see those.I wonder what would happen if you compared the statistics for evisceration?

Hi Colin,
Brilliant piece of work! Reminds me of the sort of stuff someone called Septic Blue was producing a few years back.
I wonder what would happen if you compared the statistics for evisceration?

Thanks for that. So the jump in cut throats, between 87 and 88 exactly equals the canonical 5. INTERSTING [but not funny].
