I remember one Ripper book that went on a tangent about a series of children who vanished in London after the Ripper scare. I'm not making any association with the Whitechapel murders but I don't think I've ever seen it discussed on here. Does anyone know the cases I'm talking about? I will try to dig the book out of my Ripper library.
