No problem, Jon, and I completely sympathize with your predicament. When votes go against the way I've voted I tend to assume that people who voted for the alternative are either a bit stupid, or have a compete lack of understanding of the issues, which essentially amounts to the same thing. Perhaps such individuals shouldn't be allowed to vote, although I think that might me considered undemocratic. However, I may be wrong in this respect and I am open to persuasion.

I voted Yes for a serial killer. I have my own candidate, doh!

However, I still think the police/politicians knew more about the murders than they admitted and may have distorted the public
conception of them, perhaps using the newspapers to do so.

I'm afraid not, Jon. NoJack means NoJack. It doesn't, for instance, mean "perhaps Jack". Importantly, a second referendum, in these circumstances, would clearly be an absolute betrayal of the expressed will of the Caaebook fraternity. Neither would it be democratic. As a general rule, people are not allowed to change their minds in a democracy. It just isn't cricket. However, if the "Yes" vote is successful then, of course, a second People's vote would be acceptable, probably even desirable, especially as there is clear precedent to allow a second vote in these circumstances, i.e. second referendum on Scottish independence, second referendum on Brexit, following defeats for these proposals in the mid 70's.
