This may seem like an odd thought but I am having doughts as to if this case can ever be solved so I thought maybe a logical way of proving if this is the case (if anyone could be bothered) would be to select a solved modern day serial killer case (so we now know who did it), collect all the evidence then try to see if it can be solved using only the facilities available in 1888. Just a thought.....
