^ The card is quite costly. I'd bid on it but... erm... I already have a copy! We didn't use it in the book as it wasn't relevant. For those who might not know, the building is flanked on the left by St Botolphs and on the right by The Three Nuns. Ripper to the left of me, Ripper to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with transient tenants.

That's the publication I have, I retrieved it from the book mountain that evolves in my bedroom over the week-end. As you say it was first published in 1836, F.A. Beaumont being the author of the section relating to JTR.

Point of Arrival

The Ripper related chapter in the book is 'Jacob the Ripper', pages 111-121, and unfortunately has errors. Ripper books sourced for this chapter are McCormick's The Identity of Jack the Ripper (1959), Odell's Jack the Ripper in Fact and Fiction (1965) and Farson's Jack the Ripper (1972), also Anderson's The Lighter Side of My Official Life (1910). Overall a very good and readable book.
