  • 3D Autumn Of Terror website

Had some technical problems and the content of autumnofterror.com (3D walk-throughs) has been lost. So I've started again and will attempt to make it better.

Website can be reached via the normal URL (http://autumnofterror.com) or the Wordpress URL (http://autumnofterror.wordpress.com)

I'm in the process of fixing all the missing and broken links.

    sorry

Just took a look at the site for the first time. While I applaud the work that's gone into it, I was wondering if you had any plans to make them AR or VR in the future?
I’m often irrelevant. It confuses people.

Sort of. There is a virtual walk-thru of Berner Street which I've been working on:

Viewable in IE or Mozilla (not Chrome for some reason!)

I've also had a go at Miller's Court but it's no longer available at the moment.

I accessed your site and viewed the Dutfield's Yard Berner Street Silent Movie Walk Through, your Version 2, the latest one. And it shows a lot of detail of the back of the yard including the indented space to the right.

I understand you have used the Goad Plans and other information to get the details just right. For instance, here is the Goad Plan that Rob Clack has shared before. This is 1899 although I can't really verify that date.

Well I found another Goad Plan on a site called Old Maps Online (click) this one labelled 1890 although again, I can't really verify that date.

As you see in this plan that indented space is not open, but instead a 2 story structure made with a different material, denoted by the different color, possibly metal, I don't know. And it says Open 1st which I assume is open at ground level there. This map also has the name Working Men's Club, along with Printer 1st, for a printer on the ground floor.

This is a small arcane detail. I can't verify which way was when, really, I'm not working with the primary material, only what I can find online. But I just thought I'd share it with you. It has no bearing of course on where Elizabeth Stride was found, up by the gates.

The map site is very easy to use by the way. Just type in a place name such as Whitechapel, London, and it takes you there where you can zoom around and choose from a selection of old maps.
