    Doctor Who 'Brigadier' Nicholas Courtney dies aged 81:
    Veteran actor Nicholas Courtney, best known for playing Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart on Doctor Who, dies at the age of 81.

    That's a shame.

    I bought the tenth anniversary mag in 1973, and I think in that he said that he would occasionally be allowed to insert a line in the script - something like, "You may say this is Skaro, Doctor, but I recognise it as Cromer."

      Now the brig and the third doctor are together again, fighting alien threats up in heaven.

        I spent a night last week after learning of his death with a few bottles of good real ale watching some of the brigs episodes.

        Thanks for the years of entertainment and I hope you enjoy your retirement from life.
