  • Witness of the Crime

Hello everyone, i hope you all's new years and holidays have gone well....here's my question and it has a few parts to it....Were there any witnesses that were just that close to witnessing the crime? Was there ever a time when the Ripper him or herself was going out one way and someone saw him leaving the other way for instance. I know there were witnesses to someone speaking to one or more of the victims and it's assumed that person was the Ripper due to timing but has there ever been someone that all but witnessed one of the crimes as it happened?

Well, some believe that Schwartz witnessed the initial attack on Stride...

And P.C. Harvey probably came close when he turned around at the entrance to Mitre Square in Church Passage. He had just gotten back to Aldgate St. when he heard Morris blowing his whistle. Fortunately for the killer, maybe, Mitre Square, itself, was not part of Harvey's beat.
    Best Wishes,
    Hunter
