Way back when, back in the day, I use to have a regular column in the Ripperologist mag entitled 'Cyberjack'.

I recall in one of those issues writing about our community here on Casebook. There was, and still is, a push by some for this site to solely become a reference site and remove the socialising which occurred here.

Now, in light of recent disturbing information, our community has been rocked. We now look at each other in a differing light. Well I would like to say this-

The friendships I have formed here have been completely enjoyable. Yes I have had run ins with a few, some of which, I admit to being at fault. However I wish to say that despite recent events I still consider those friends here to be trustworthy and true. I think it would be a shame that due to the uncomprehensable act of one, we alter our opinions of those who have helped with our research and who we have laughed with.

Of course, this is a matter for the indiviual to decide. However I, for one, wish it to be known that my faith in this community has NOT altered.

Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest.

Monty, can you lend me £100K?

Seriously, there's nothing in the subject we study that would attract people of that sort. The youngest people we get on here are GCSE students seeking help with their essays. On the contrary, there are a few people, like myself, who are beginning to creak a bit.

I've made some great friends on here and will doubtless carry on posting until Alzheimer's closes in.
