    Saturday 6th September 2008 ~ (3.00pm – 5.30pm)

This afternoon presentation involving Trevor Marriott and
The Whitechapel Society is free to all WS members, who are also offered a concessionary price entry into the Docklands Jack the Ripper exhibition!
(It is also open to non-members and the entry fee is £7.50)

PLEASE NOTE - The Museum closes at 6.00pm and the last JTR exhibition entry is 4.45, so members wishing to visit the exhibition should do so before the 3.00pm presentation.
To take advantage of the concessionary price it is best to book in advance & you can do so by phoning the booking office number below quoting your name and WS 1888.

Trevor’s presentation will take the form of an overview of his original investigation and then he will introduce the results of his new 21st century investigative work together with supportive evidence which relates to several significant and important issues concerning The Ripper mystery and in particular the actual murders.

Trevor will also be launching his new book titled "The Evil Within", a book about serial killers with an extended chapter on Jack the Ripper. This will include the new evidence and also photographs relating to the new material.

The Whitechapel Society has really exciting plans for the future and this has been recognized by the Museum in Docklands who have very kindly supported this event. WS Committee members will be on hand to give an overview of all our future plans and WS Chairman Bill Beadle will be giving a talk on his forthcoming book, ‘The Execution of Jack the Ripper’ due for publication next Spring. Frogg Moody will be promoting his new book charting the murder in 1908 of Edwin Haskell (due for publication in late September 2008), and co-written with author Bruce Purvis. This unsolved murder was investigated by Chief Inspector Dew two years before the Crippen case and contains lots of previously unpublished reports by Inspector Dew. There will also be a questions & answers session at the end of this afternoon’s presentation followed by the WS 1888 interim evening meeting which will now take place in the Wetherspoons pub next door to the Docklands building.

      Hi All,
I would just like to thank everyone who came to the Whitechapel Society/Docklands presentation yesterday. Those who were unable to make it missed a fantastic presentation by Trevor Marriott. A full review of Trevor's talk will appear in the next Whitechapel Journal which you can obtain by Joining our Society - www.whitechapelsociety.com for details.

WS 1888 Chairman Bill Beadle also gave us a taster of his book to be published next year, 'The Execution of Jack the Ripper'. Bill also gave an outline of future Whitechapel Society incentives & projects planned for it's members.
