Kelly's child - an alternative version

Many of us will have seen early reports after the Millers Court murder that Kelly had a son, whose age is given variously as 7 or 11 years old. But the report below asserts that Kelly had no child but there was a child present, but this was the offspring of the woman who had been staying with her.

There were also rumours that she had a daughter (named as Agnes, I believe) who lived in Bristol until the 1920's. There's an entry in the A-Z about this, but I'm damned if I can find it! Where this rumour originated is a mystery.

She seems to have had some descendants also on these boards! Surprisingly, everyone of them has disappeared, while being asked for further details...

All right, here is my personal view; if the dear MJK had any descendants ever, the only thing they would know for sure, is; that their founding father originated from an Irish/Welsh/London orphanage!

When did these possible Mary Kelly descendants appear? Are their posts archived somewhere?

Their descendants don't have to be from this alleged orphan. If Mary Kelly was in her 30s, she'd likely have had kids during the 1870s, who, being Irish, likely hightailed it to the Americas or Australia. They'd know who she was but not know what happened to her.

I don't remember every "relative" of Mary Kelly, some of them appeared on the crashed boards. Some of them could have their posts on the archives. Probably Stephen P.Ryder and the administrators can tell you better in detail! Oh yeah, I just remembered: Hutchinson tried to pm one of the "relatives" once, but the e-mail address just happened to disappear...

Yes, it's possible. Even if she really was about 25 at the time of her death, but the probability to find definite links to this Mary Kelly would grow stronger - naturally meaning her real name being Mary Kelly... Or even finding the real person behind the pseudonyme (which I find the most likely option! ) would grow stronger.

Believe me, there has been many of us trying to find that needle from the haystack of Mary Kellys of LVP Ireland/Wales/ London!

I've personally spent somewhere going on a thousand hours on Mary Jane Kelly so I believe you when you say many of you have looked for the needle in the haystack.
If you're like me though, I wouldn't want people to think I know what I'm doing. You know what I mean,... going to work with lists of Mary Kelly's from the England Census and staring at them during my break to see if anything jumps out. Yeah, I know what I'm doing. Sure!

Yes, Kat, I read "Will the Real Mary Kelly..." this summer not expecting to find anything new in it after surfing what Chris Scott already has available online and spending hundreds of hours on census records myself but I gave in to recommendations from someone on the old boards, read it and found some new nuggets. I passed it on to a fellow from Belfast who believes in the Royal Conspiracy.

I like to have fun with Toronto's old name. Everything here is still named after York including a major mall and three boroughs, including the one I lived in for almost 40 years. It seems the Duke of York was over fighting in Flanders field in 1793 when the city was founded.

On the Reynold's article, the paper was sympathetic to socialism so probably held the Monarchy in disfavour and would likely jump on the notion of a Ripper Royal child if there was one.

Quote, "Researcher Allan E Jones - contributed piece to Ripperana noting oral tradition in Cardiff that Agnes Mary (1881-1942), daughter of Mary Jane Kelly, lived there until 1908, whereafter she moved to Bristol".

Does anyone know if this was ever followed up, and if so by whom? Who is/was Allan E Jones? Where might he have heard such an 'oral tradition'?

I Googled "Allan E Jones" and all I got was a builder in Devon...
