The December Ripperologist found a Salvation Army connection with Frances Coles in a newspaper dated Feb. 14, 1891.

Two or three women asserted that in the features of the deceased they could recognize a young woman whom the Salvation Army had endeavored to reclaim, and who had recently been an inmate of one of the Army shelters.
