Default An Experiment on No Holds Barred threads.

It has come to our attention that some of you just really don't like each other and appear to enjoy smacking each other around. We sympathize, we really do.

However the rules against Personal Attack policy is in place, and people should have the option of NOT being smacked around, if they don't wish to be.

For a short period of time, we are going to put it in the hands of each individual thread CREATOR whether or not Personal Attacks will or will not be allowed in their thread.

If you want civilized discussion that is free from personal attacks on your threads, you do not need to do anything, that is the default.

If however you would like your thread to allow any personal attacks or invective and be free from moderator reprisal, when you create the thread, choose the warning sign icon from the list of post icons available to accompany a thread. The warning sign icon is a yellow caution sign, with an exclamation point. If this icon accompanies your thread, then anyone entering it knows that if they choose to post in it, they may be insulted and they may insult back.

If you have created a thread in the last few weeks that is still active and you wish to change the status, you may send a pm with a link to the thread to change it.

Once again, this is purely an experiment and may or may not continue. If you have any questions, PM us.

This applies only to personal attacks and does not apply to any other rules on the board. All of those will still be in effect for all posts and threads.
