  • sympathy for the devil

fathered by fog and mothered in mist,
through londons backstreets, bloodied, i drift
knife edged phantom, cloaked in gore
stab and run, then stab some more
catch me if you can, or gamely guess
on who i killed first or who i killed last
    tabram ,chapman nicholls or stride
split belly kelly, and how many more beside?
no one knows , no-one ever will
    despite the experts pointed quill
that writes in quires and knowing reams
but in the end it just pretends, ..no-one knows..it seems....

    Having read your verse exciting,
    Methinks 'twould best be hosted
On the thread for "Creative Writing" -
Than here, where other stuff is posted.

      your point is duly taken
i'm new to this you see
      but the myriad of messages
      oft times confuses me
      much like the many suspects
that are posted on the site
      me astrakhan and blotchy face
i'll keep out of the light

eh up sams called bloody time
I'll take whisky with drop of lime
an' make sure it's ballymore dew
on account of killer being a jew
but macnaghten is a right good blend
drove uncle charles right around the bend
so mind the doors and mind the whores
        if you don't mind
        for sam has called time

          Whiskies drinks and such regalia
          ripper letters ..marginalia
          swanson lusk and aberline
make you want just gin and lime
clear heads hardly help at all
when nailin' mist upon a wall
and still the phantom flits unknown
          half a lager please ..patrone...
