  • Chapman sources.

It is my belief that the only sources of information on Chapman are the witness transcripts and press reports from the inquest, hearings and trial; some documents he brought from Poland; and what can be found on ancestry and ships' lists etc.

All the book chapters, articles and websites about him that contain anything not drawn from these documents are either incorrect or speculation. Some witness statements are also incorrect.

    Any comments?

    Hi Helena,

It makes sense. Most of the early material on Klosowski's life was in Polish or Russian archives, and the destruction and havoc of two world wars could have ruined the record there. Possibly there might be something in the U.S.
The rest is in the sources you list, which you have pruned.
