Does anyone know anything about Murderess Selina Wadge?

Prior to Louisa Masset, she's the only mother to be executed for murdering her child during the Late Victorian period. She was executed in Bodmin Gaol's execution shed either 21 July 1878 or 15 August of 1878 by adjusted long drop in a private execution in which members of the press were denied access to the event. The action apparantly traumatized the prison staff who carried it out. She was a single mother of two who after being released from the Bodmin workhouse, tossed her son down a well believing a man might marry her if she got rid of him. She may have been a maid of some kind.

According to spiritual sources her ghost haunts the old prison filled with remorse over what she did.

    Hello Terrierkeeper

The following Google search reveals a number of web sites that discuss the execution of Selina Wadge, one of them being a New York Times article of 29 August 1878 copying a report of 16 August in the Liverpool Post noting that the execution took place the previous day in Bodmin, so the date of 15 August would appear to be accurate for the day she was hanged. The murder of her child in Launceston by throwing it down a well occurred on 21 July.
