I've nothing to add. This is my last post on this thread.
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.

Mary (jane Kelly) had a little lamb
        she beat it nearly senseless
the Lamb would have pressed charges
but can't find her in the census

          Come see the city
          Come see the dead
          One with no pity
          Sees you in your bed.

I think the objection was related to taste, not to subject matter. I on the other often find release from discomfort by asking myself "What is THE worst possible thing I could say at this moment?" So there is a level of disrespect I am totally comfortable with.

As I was coming up the stair
              I met a girl who wasn't there
              She wasn't there again today
I think her name is Fairy Fay

                  Five Little Unfortunates

                  Five little unfortunates
                  Out looking for some more
                  See her jolly bonnet
                  And then there were four

                  Four little unfortunates
                  Ain't nothin for free
                  Will you asked the man
                  And then there were three

                  Three little unfortunates
                  Out to have some fun
                  Double event this time
                  And then there was one

                  One little unfortunate
                  A drunken song she sung
                  brought the wrong man home
                  And then Jack was done
"Is all that we see or seem
but a dream within a dream?"

                  -Edgar Allan Poe

"...the man and the peaked cap he is said to have worn
quite tallies with the descriptions I got of him."

                  -Frederick G. Abberline

                      Cadosch, not feeling too easy,
farts when he walks to the W. C.
                      In the neighbouring yard,
                      between blood and innards,
Jack thinks, Oh, people disgust me.
