            Re post 23 Dakin Brothers

            Dakin Brothers were wholesale and export druggists whose premises in Middlesex Street were bought by Wrights the soap manufacturer in the 1930s

                  The guy laid down whilst his neighbour reads a book looks like Stalin!!!

                  The other shot in the Victoria Home as that weird guy with a book hiding his face, whats all that about then???

                      He he I know that always makes me laugh too!!!
                      ...In the Stalin pic it's always the guy being talked out of doing 'The White Eared Elephant' trick that amuses me!!!

                          No wonder I couldn't find a bin in London, they all have legs!!
                          In the same shot you can make out your reflection in the doorway next to the big "40", then in the other window there is a white van with a guy watching you!!!!

                                Always useful to know where to get a wholesale warehouseman!!! (Maybe even sporting some hosiery!)
                                Oddly I have never ever ever seen so many shops 'specialising 'in clocks,torches and batteries plus assorted bizarrities as I have in Whitechapel!!
