        Harvey never made Sergeant.

Indeed, but I can see the similarity.
I won't always agree but I'll try not to be disagreeable.

Right you are. He didn´t have an identical twin serving beside him, did he ...?

Is anyone able to help with this? I have always taken it that Abberline had an unruly curl of hair to the left side of his forehead but am now unsure as to whether this is the case. Is it hair or a mark/shadow on the wall behind? (The uncertainty is caused by "Mrs Bridewell" who is of the opinion that it's not hair!).
This sketch of Abberline from the IPN makes it look like he's sporting a sort of mohican!

Call me crazy but I was thinking it looked like an unfinished foundation? New Scotland Yard?

Doubt it's Abberline but who knows.

                      No, it's not Abberline.

This is a photo of the Houndsditch Murders scene. Hence the bullet holes.

                        Apologies

These are the H Div men who searched the remains of Sidney Street, not Houndsditch.

                        Sorry

So still definitely not Abberline, by virtue of the date presumably?

The photo was taken in 1886, making Abberline about 43, I think the guy with the cane looks a bit old to be him, he looks at least in his 50s.

In the drawing he looks quite fresh-faced the guy Rob pointed out looks quite like the drawing imo.
My opinion is all I have to offer here,

                            Dave.

Apologies for my late reply Colin.

That is correct. It's not Abberline.
