What did Jack make of the Torso Killer?

    The torso killer was Jack the Ripper's superior in every way: the mutilation was flawless and precise, the bodies were disposed of in risky and attention-grabbing ways rather than being left on the street, etc. Jack the Ripper was a complete and utter amateur compared to the torso killer, and I hope that Jack had the humility to realize this.

    On the other hand, I have to imagine the torso killer hated Jack the Ripper, hated the fact that he was doomed to lose out on fame and notoriety to somebody he must have viewed as a hack. I always joke that perhaps we'll solve the torso killings when somebody remembers an older relative who seemed to have an irrational hatred of Jack the Ripper.
