    Hello Stephen

    Do you believe you might be a descendant or kin of Dr Hibberd's? Very interesting if so.

    In the Daily News of 9 October 1888 he is listed as "Dr. C.A. Hibberd, of 18, Great College-street, Middlesex-lane," and in the Morning Advertiser, 8 October 1888 he is described as "Mr. Charles Hibberd, of Westminster Hospital".

        Thanks, Stewart, for that correction. I am assuming that the name was misheard at the inquest. I don't doubt that you are absolutely correct, although the name is rendered as "Hibberd" in numerous press reports.

          His full name is Charles Alfred Hebbert.
