Still not happy with it yet. Needs more work but it's getting there.

    Hi Richard,

It would have been interesting to see a specific reproduction of MJK3, since MJK3 is showing the bed in another position in the room.

In MJK3 the table is positioned higher up.

You can aslo see the hinges on the door on the other side of the bed, where the light is coming through.

In MJK3 the bed is positioned in front of the door, after having been drawn obliquely across the room by the murderer, to barricade the door.

    Best wishes, Pierre

MJK3 certainly has the small table positioned differently from its position in MJK2. The bed, the table, and Mary's legs are all in different positions from MJK2 and even the table height is at odd (I think). If those are the door hinges that can be seen with a split of light then what is the round black door knob looking thing we can see to the left?

It is a spot. This photograph is full of similar black spots and that particular spot is probably the biggest one.

Here's a thread that is applicable to MJK3 and relative positions, Pierre.

Pierre, please be exact, you believe it is in a radically different position which is something you cannot establish other than as a possibility.

Not sure what you mean by "higher up", but it is highly probable, indeed likely that the table had been moved, it was knocked on entry according to the inquest testimony.

And of course to take MJK3 and certain amount of movement probably took place.

That is a debatable point, it may not be the hinges, it is a matter of interpretation.

Pierre, that has certainly not been established, the inquest testimony tells a different story with regards to the positions to that you give, However I am sure you will say that is a matter of interpretation.

nevertheless despite your best efforts you have not been able to demonstrate that statement is anything other than a wishful thinking.

Therefore if you present this view as theory, then there is no problem; However to present it the way in which you do: that is it is an undeniable fact, and please lets not go into another debate on the meaning of "fact", is wrong.

You may not intend to mislead, given that you believe it to be true, but it ends up giving such a view.

Just to save on time responding to post #18 at same time.

True there are many spots on the available prints, many certainly the product of processing.

The interesting point with, shall I call it, the "artifact" is that it shows highlights in the correct place to be a door knob or even coat peg, and the shadows that should be present for a real 3 dimensional object, rather than the product of processing, are present, and both light and shade appear to be correct for the assumed light sources.

Any road, it would seem that discussing MJK3 in relation to MJK2 and No13 is pointless since it has been decried as a prank/spoof according to Simon Wood.

Not sure if this has been proven and/or I'm not sure others on these forums agree with Simon's assertion.

You are working with legitimate photo's Richard, don't be led astray by unsubstantiated theories.

                Excellent work, as usual.
                Regards, Jon S.
