  • Abberline's Memoirs/Scrapbook

Does anyone know about Abberline's memoirs or his scrapbook?

Someone might have a copy of them.

    Thanks, FGA

      Hi Monty,
have you or anyone you know ever seen them? Just curious what kind of goodies would be in an Abberline memoir.

I have seen his scrapbook but not his memoirs

His scrapbook doesn't have anything about the JTR murders.

Sorry, Ive seen his annotated scrap book which he put together for his friend Walter Green.

The memoirs, Im not at liberty to say, except they are with a private owner.

PS I can confirm the scrap book holds no Jack the Ripper references.

Did Stewart say whether or not the memoirs discussed anything relevant to the case? That was a joke.

I read that was entirely deliberate as he was that professional not to.

When he retired he probably could have published them with the JTR section because Walter Dew published 'I Caught Crippen' when he left the MP.
