  • Need book recommendation

    Hi all,

I was wanting to get a book on the Cleveland Torso Murders as a gift for my boyfriend (nothing says 'I love you' like a book of gruesome murders). Any recommendations will be appreciated.

    Title

    Evabaruk:
I don't have a title specifically on the Cleveland Torso killings. However, there may be coverage in any of the books on the Black Dahlia case. (There was speculation that the same person that killed Elizabeth Short (The Black Dahlia) was the same killer that committed the Cleveland Torso killings. Elliiot Ness thought so and reggretted that he was unable to bring the killer to justcie though he claimed to know whjo the killer was. Regards,

Hi Eva (if you're still around.) The best book on the Cleveland Torso Killings is "In The Wake of the Butcher" by James Jessen Badal. Published by the Kent State University Press. Mr Badal spoke at the 2006 JtR Conference in Baltimore, and what he doesn't know about these murders isn't worth knowing. He also has the most impressive moustache in the history of humankind.

I wonder if Doc Tumblety ever heard of a contemporary American figure of some note, Mr. King Gillette. He could have made that moustache disappear faster than Penn and Gillette could have.
