Default PS Amos SIMPSON N Division..............

I've been pondering the "myth" that Amos SIMPSON and the claim he was first on the scene and took Eddowes's shawl.......

Simpson served in N Division, something that appears to be overlooked and forgive me if I'm wrong but part of the argument for Simpson is the matter of Divisional boundaries. It is always documented when referring to him that N Divisions southern border was against the City of London border. But according to this map this is not the case as G Division is between N and the City? Is this correct? I assume that G Division existed in 1888?
